_Kairos: A Journal for Teachers of Writing in Webbed Environments_ is an
electronic journal designed to serve as a peer-reviewed resource for
teachers, researchers, and tutors of writing at the college and university
level, including Technical Writing, Business Writing, Professional
Communication, Creative Writing, Composition, and Literature. We are
located online at http://english.ttu.edu/kairos

For the News section of issue 4.1, we are soliciting the following sorts
of texts:

* Conference Reviews: these should be for conferences held between
November 1998 and the end of March 1999. Included in this timeframe are
MLA, NCTE, NCTE Spring, and CCCC, as well as others you might suggest.

* Calls for Participation: these should have deadlines that fall on or
after June 15, 1999.

* News Reports: these should be summaries of events of interest which
have occurred or will have occurred between November 1998 and the end of
March 1999.

* Projects in Progress: these should be in the form of annotated links
to project pages which we can include in the issue.

If you have a text or idea in mind, please contact News Editor James Inman
(jinman_at_umich.edu) as soon as possible to talk about ideas and schedule.
