Call for Papers: Programmatic Perspectives, the new CPTSC journal
Colleagues,
If you’re working in academic technical communication administration or
have done research that could benefit colleagues working in this field,
please consider submitting an article to Programmatic Perspectives, the
journal of the Council for Programs in Technical and Scientific
Communication (CPTSC). The editors (Tracy Bridgeford, Karla Saari Kitalong,
and Bill Williamson) are soliciting full articles, opinion pieces, and
program showcases for publication in Volume 1, Issue 2 and beyond. Review
editor Kathryn Northcut seeks reviews of books and other media of potential
interest to technical communication program administrators.
Programmatic Perspectives is a peer-reviewed journal. The inaugural issue
will be published in March 2009. Please see http://www.cptsc.org/pp/ for
full information about the journal, including publication schedule,
manuscript guidelines, and editorial board.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to,
- Program assessment
- Curriculum development and innovation
- Cross-cultural issues
- Faculty development
- Technology integration
- Relationship-building
- Diversity issues
- Program maintenance
- Program transitions (e.g. expansion from certificate to major)
- Recruitment and retention of students and faculty
