"Perplexed by Poe"

>From puzzles and contradiction to literary disguise to outright hoaxing,
Poe’s work relentlessly frustrates our effort to read it. Abstracts are
solicited for 15-20 minute papers examining instances and aspects of the
puzzling across the range of Poe’s work. Panel sponsored by the Poe Studies
Association at the 2008 American Literature Association Conference in San
Francisco, May 22-25.

Please send 250 word abstracts and brief C.V. by January 10, 2007 to Susan
