â€œThe History of American Literary Criticism 1900-50â€™s.â€
Paper proposals sought for an approved special-session panel on the history
of American literary criticism from around 1900 through the 1950â€™s.
Proposals may address the theory, practice, and institutional / pedagogical
impact of any movement or group active during the era specified:
philological and historical critics, New Critics, Marxist critics, Chicago
School, New York Intellectuals, myth critics, etc.
Email abstracts of 250-500 words (inline or as an attachment) or full
papers by April 07, 2008 to session chair Al Drake at
ajdrake_at_ajdrake.com. NOTE: please include the phrase "American Literary
Criticism" and/or "PAMLA" in message subject line. All submissions will be
acknowledged upon receipt.
