Call for papers
Literature and Religion Session
We welcome submission of proposals for individual papers that consider,
but are not limited to, the relationship of literature to the following
Reproduction of national/religious ideology
Religion and gender/sexuality/race
Colonialism/postcolonialism/ neocolonialism and religion
Representations of the messianic or the apocalyptic
Religion and the family/national imaginary
Please submit 1 page abstracts by email attachment (Word files only) to
aatik_at_ic.sunysb.edu (write RMMLA 2007 in the subject line)

The deadline for paper proposals is MARCH 1st, 2007.
Colleagues whose paper proposals have been short listed for presentation
will be notified by MARCH 9th, 2007.
Non-RMMLA members may propose a paper but membership in RMMLA is
required of all presenters by April 1st 2007.
All presenters need to be current in RMMLA dues by APRIL 1st, 2007.
The deadline for AV equipment and/or scheduling requests is MAY 1st,
The preliminary program will be posted by June 15th, 2007 on the RMMLA
website. Edits to the program need to be made by August 1st, 2007. A
list of all important
