Inviting papers (20 minutes) for the Asian American Literature session of
the RMMLA conference, Oct. 8-10, 2009, in Snowbird, Utah.
>From the Songs of Gold Mountain to the blossoming literatures of Southeast
Asian Americans, Asian American literature reflects diverse, complex voices
shaped by and reacting to sinophobia, egregious legal discrimination, Asian
culture and history, and generational conflict related to the negotiation
of American culture and identity. This session invites papers on the voices
of Americans from Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Korean, Pacific Island, or
Southeast Asian heritages.
Please submit a one-page proposal by March 1, 2009, to
