The theme of the conference is "Borders," but the panel welcomes any
genre that focuses on the region's culture.

Please e-mail 500-word abstract and short CV by March 14 to:

An e-mail confirmation will be sent immediately, and panelists will be
notified by 1 April 2008.

Please note the following information, printed on page 5 of the Winter
2007 newsletter:

GUIDELINES AND ELIGIBILITY
• Members of the Executive Committee may not serve as
Regular/Allied section officers. They may, however, deliver papers.
• Regular Session chairs may not deliver a paper in the session for which
they serve. The session secretary may deliver a paper in the session for
which he/she serves.
• No individual may deliver more than one paper or chair more than one
session at any SCMLA meeting.
• Session chairs are responsible for notifying the SCMLA office in
writing of any changes to their panels.
• May 12, 2008: All participants must be SCMLA members for program
listing and to ensure receipt of convention materials.
