CFP: Creative Writing (5/1/07; journal issue)
Call for Critical and Creative work.
"New Writing: the International Journal for the Practice and Theory of Creative
Writing", notes two important university Creative Writing anniversaries in
2008: 40 years of "The Association of Writers and Writing Programmes" (USA) and
20 years of the "National Association of Writers in Education" (UK).
Thus, celebrating the development of Creative Writing in Higher Education, New
Writing seeks high quality critical and creative work for its forthcoming
About the journal
New Writing is published three times a year, and publishes creative work,
alongside articles about creative writing research and creative writing
teaching, interviews with writers, debates in the development of the subject,
and analysis of the relationship between creative writing in universities and
colleges and activities in the relevant creative industries.
New Writing offers an international forum for practice-led creative writing
research and critical writing about creative writing.
Articles should be between 2,000 and 5,000 words in length; creative work should
be not be more than 5,000 words in length.
All submissions to New Writing are subject to peer review.
Articles may be submitted electronically. Text should be saved in the author's
normal word processor format (please give the name of the program used). Any
Figures or Tables should be saved in separate files from the rest of the text.
Electronic submissions should be sent by e-mail attachment to
submissions_at_multilingual-matters.com, with the covering message clearly stating
the name of the journal concerned, on CD-ROM, or on disc (IBM-PC compatible or
high-density AppleMac) to The Editor, New Writing, c/o Multilingual Matters
Ltd, Frankfurt Lodge, Clevedon Hall, Victoria Road, Clevedon BS21 7HH, England.
