Cauda Pavonis: Studies in Hermeticism seeks scholarly articles for
presentation at a special session of the 2008 Renaissance Society of
America (RSA) Conference. The session, =93Applications of Hermetic and
Alchemical Studies,=94 is sponsored by Cauda Pavonis, an associate
organization of the RSA. The Fifty-Fourth Annual Conference of the
RSA will be held April 3-5, 2008 in Chicago, Illinois. The
conference will represent the fourth successive year of Cauda Pavonis
at RSA.

For the RSA session, Cauda Pavonis seeks papers from all disciplines
that address any aspect of hermeticism, including scholarship
treating its traditional manifestations in alchemy, arithmetics,
astrology, music, and sacred geometry. Interdisciplinary work
involving fields such as art history, history of ideas and history of
science, literature, music, philosophy, religious studies, and others
is particularly welcome, too.

Now in its twenty-seventh year of publication, the journal Cauda
Pavonis publishes articles on all aspects of hermeticism as well as
book reviews and field-relevant announcements. Cauda Pavonis also
issues an Annual Bibliography of Hermetic Studies each Spring and
annually sponsors a panel or panels at the Renaissance Society of
America Conference
