Call for Papers: Shakespeare on Film and Television
The Southwest/Texas Popular and American Culture Associations 29th Annual
Conference, Albuquerque, NM, February 13-16, 2008.
The Shakespeare on Film and Television Area of the Southwest/Texas
Popular and American Culture Associations is calling for paper for the
annual conference to be held again in beautiful downtown Albuquerque, NM,
at the Hyatt Regency. Join us this year as a returning or first-time
participant. We have kept hotel rates low, and graduate student rates

Papers are welcome on all topics. Recent popular topics include
Shakespeare in India, the Latino Shakespeare, Shakespeare Film in the
Classroom, Shakespeare and the Genre Film, Shakespeare and the Director,
Transgressive Shakespeare Adaptations, Shakespeare and Sexuality,
Additions and Omissions in Shakespeare Film Adaptations, and
Metatheatrical Shakespeare—specifically films where the characters put on
a Shakespeare play. If you have an idea for a panel, please suggest it.
Please send a 250 word proposal and a brief CV by November 15, 2007 to
