Northern Plains Conference on Earlier British Literature

The 15th Annual Northern Plains Conference on Earlier British Literature is
accepting proposals for papers on topics pertaining to English literature
including, though not limited to the following periods:

Medieval
Renaissance/Early Modern
Seventeenth Century / Restoration
Eighteenth Century

We welcome submissions on any aspect of early British literature, as well
as any critical methodology. Newer voices in the profession especially are
encouraged to submit and attend.

We are looking forward to this year’s keynote address, which will be
presented by Dr. Margaret Groome, University of Manitoba. The title for her
presentation is:

"'No more, but e'en a woman...'
        A Brave Tale of Toils and Triumphs:
Women Directing the Bard in Twentieth Century Britain"

This year’s conference will be held during the weekend of April 19-20,
2008, on the campus of the University of North Dakota. Hotel rooms have
been reserved at the Best Western Town House and Canad Inn, both located in
Grand Forks.

Please send abstracts (250-500 words), or papers (approx. 20 minutes
reading length to):
