CFP: [Renaissance] Banishment in early modern Europe (SCSC Geneva 2009)

Pascale Drouet and Yan Brailowsky wish to complete a panel on the notion
of banishment for the Sixteenth Century Studies Conference in Geneva,
Switzerland, on May 28-30, 2009.

We welcome any proposal on *banishment in early modern Europe* (in
literature, history, anthropology, history of the [Counter-]
Reformation). Papers may be in French or English.

Publication by a university press of selected papers is scheduled for
late 2009.

Please send a brief abstract (approx. 100 words) to both: Pascale Drouet
at pascale.drouet_at_neuf.fr and Yan Brailowsky at
yan.brailowsky_at_u-paris10.fr with 'Banishment CFP' in the subject line.

Deadline for abstracts is November 14.
