full name / name of organization:
CFP for panelists for proposal for the AWP 2009 (Feb. 11-14) conference in
Chicago on building a creative life teaching critical writing; I am
interested in hearing from writers trained in creative writing who are
building careers teaching critical writing.
I'm particularly focusing the panel though faculty/writers whose main
responsibilities are located in rhet/comp writing--at any level:
first-year, advanced comp, WID or WAC classes, and either in teaching or
administration --rather than comp classes being the begrudged,
take-your-medicine add-on class (as I've heard discussed at AWP in the
past) and who integrate creative writing approaches _throughout_ the course
in conceptualization and in practice.
Please send proposal of 100-200 words with biographical information
(including relevant publications and university or professional affiliation
and title) to czink_at_gwu.edu by TUESDAY 4/29.
Feel free to pass on to other possible interested parties.
Thanks,
