The 100 year anniversary is coming of Shackleton surviving nearly two years
in the Antarctic with 27 other men.
We are beginning work on a scholarly edition of Shackleton's history and
adventures, especially related to the Trans-Antarctic Expedition, but open
to all of Shackleton's adventures.
Obviously, this is travel related, but also literary journalism, creative
nonfiction, essay, science and culture, religion, "food" studies, etc.
This edition is in the early stages and opportunities are open.
 
Please submit an 300-500 word abstract and (working) bibliography to
craigameyer_at_gmail.com by October 6, 2008.
