We are seeking submissions for a panel on the theme of dramatic transactions. This panel will occur as part of the
Association of English Graduate Students' 19th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference, entitled "Trans -- : Negotiation and
Resistance," to be held at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

Possible papers might engage "transaction" in relation to dramatic works, performances, audiences, and/or venues; or
they may also engage the "dramatic" in terms of economic and political situations, the economy of literary texts, or the
exchange that occurs around various texts. We are particularly interested in interdisciplinary papers, and papers that
address the following questions: How are transactions dramatic? How do dramas create and/or inhibit transaction? What
are the benefits and/or limitations of thinking of transactions in terms of the dramatic?

Presentations should run 15-20 minutes. Please e-mail an electronic one-page abstract (250-words, double-spaced),
including your name, affiliation, address, phone number, and e-mail address to: uscaegs_at_gmail.com. Decisions will be
made by late February 2006.
