Postcolonial Drama and Theatre
This panel welcomes abstracts on any aspect of postcolonial drama, theatre, and performance.
Despite the much-discussed theories (such as Frantz Fanon’s and Homi Bhabha’s) about performing
colonial and postcolonial identities, drama/theatre has been underrepresented in Postcolonial
Studies. This panel seeks to create dialogue among those interested in both postcolonialism and
drama/theatre. Papers could be related to any ethnic, racial, or national fields, and could deal with
such issues and methodologies as: politics, identity, genre, transnational/international,
performance theories, history, historiography, race, class, gender, nationalism, etc. Please send
300-word abstracts or proposals by email attachment to Kyounghye Kwon at kwon.103_at_osu.edu by
September 15, 2007.
