Masks: the online journal of law and theatre will be launched at a Law and Theatre conference in
Vancouver, June 17-19, 2008. The conference will focus on the intersections of law and theatre
and seeks to explore a wide range of possibilities.

The Masks Conference will be divided into three thematic days:

Day 1 – Academic Day: Scholars will present their academic papers, which we encourage be
submitted to the Masks journal as well.

Day 2 – Workshop Day: This day will focus on active workshop sessions exploring all aspects of
the intersection of law and theatre.

Day 3 – Community Day: The final day of the conference will be focused on community-based
projects and seeks to capture innovative and groundbreaking uses of law and theatre theory and
practice.
