Call for Papers: 12th International Working/Poverty Class Academics

2007 WCPA Conference: July 26-29, 2007, University of El Paso, Texas

"Intersections, Identities, and International Perspectives on Social Class"

This year's WPCA Conference will focus on the following areas:

1) Intersections of class with race, gender, age, and numerous other
diversity areas;

2) Identities of working/poverty class students, staff, faculty
members, and activists, told through storytelling, writing, discussion and
activism, etc.

3) International perspectives of class and cross-cultural awareness of

We are seeking proposals for workshops, papers, book and roundtable
discussions in the above areas. The purpose of the conference is to raise
awareness of how social class has an impact on all aspects of our lives. It
is also intended to provide insight into how class works, on a domestic as
well as international level, and what initiatives we can take to address
class issues.

Interested individuals should fill out the form provided. The deadline for
submissions is May 30, 2007.
