This is an updated Call for Papers for THE JOURNAL OF AYN RAND STUDIES. We
are looking especially for papers that deal with Rand's literary corpus
from diverse and critical perspectives. Of particular interest currently
are any papers investigating the ties between Rand and such thinkers as
Aristotle and Nietzsche.

For information on our current issue (Spring 2001), which features the
first comprehensive scholarly forum for the discussion of Ayn Rand's
aesthetics, go to our website at:

http://aynrandstudies.com

We are indexed by several abstract services, including MLA DIRECTORY OF
PERIODICALS and MLA INTERNATIONAL BIBLIOGRAPHY.

The Aesthetics Symposium is inspired by the publication of Louis Torres and
Michelle Marder Kamhi's WHAT ART IS: THE ESTHETIC THEORY OF AYN RAND (Open
Court, 2000); it features contributions from philosophers, literary
critics, musicians, painters, poets, and cultural theorists.

Full abstracts are available on-line at:
http://aynrandstudies.com/jars/v2_n2/2_2toc.asp

Contributor biographies are available online at:
http://aynrandstudies.com/jars/v2_n2/2_2bio.asp

For those interested in submitting papers to our double-blind peer review
process, go to the main menu and navigate to pages on style and substance.
We welcome contributions from all disciplines and from every perspective.
We are a non-partisan journal, not aligned with any advocacy group,
institute, or person. Information on how to subscribe and how to recommend
JARS to your institutional library is available too.

Cheers,
Chris
