          This is a cfp from the Doris Lessing Society for one of their two sponsored panels at this year's MLA Convention in Philadelphia from 27-30 December. Please send proposals by 15 March. Papers may address other authors alongside Lessing.   Panel Title: Trauma and the Works of Doris Lessing
   
  Issues addressed may include: historical wounds, the past and its losses, “working through” the cycle of perpetual retraumatization, abandonment, apartheid, nuclear destruction. Abstracts of 1-2 pages to Linda Weinhouse (LWeinhouse_at_ccbcmd.edu) and Alice Ridout (a.ridout_at_uwinnipeg.ca) by Mar. 15.
