Oxonmoot 2007 - Call for Papers

Oxonmoot is a meeting in Oxford, UK, on the closest weekend to the
22nd of September. Tolkien friends and fans gather together to enjoy
a time together remembering J.R.R. Tolkien. But it is not all fun. On
Saturday, the main day of the event, there are papers and academic
presentations where people share their thoughts and work on the
Professor's life and works all day. The 2007 Oxonmoot will be held at
Lady Margaret's Hall, between the 14th and the 16th of September.

We would like to invite you to submit papers on Professor Tolkien and
his works. Papers should be either 20 or 45 minutes long to fit into
half-hour or hour slots, with time for questions/discussion. Please
send the title, a short summary/abstract and intended length of your
presentation, and a paragraph about yourself to Meggy McMurry at or else by post to Maridalsveien 242, 0467
Oslo, Norway, by the 18th of August. If your presentation needs a
projector, OHP or any other technical support, please include that
information too.

Information about bookings and Oxonmoot in general can be found at We look forward to
seeing you in September.
