The <I>Journal of Surrealism and the Americas</I> focuses on the subject of
modern European and American intellectuals’ obsession with the “New World.”
The editors are pleased to announce the debut of the journal with the first
issue in December 2007, on general topics relating to surrealism, visual
culture and literature of the Americas.

Call For Papers -Issue 2 - Special Number on Ethnography
Amy Winter, Guest Editor

The editors announce a call for papers for a special issue on surrealism
and ethnography and the Americas, including the reception and/or legacy of
the movement's theory and practice related to ethnography and indigenous
art and culture. Foreign language contributions (in French, German and
Spanish) are accepted, but we require a two-page, double-spaced English
language abstract with any foreign language submission.

The journal website requires authors confirm a “checklist” when they make a
submission. You will be asked to register as an “author” on the journal
website in order to submit a manuscript there for review.

Deadline for submissions is December 1, 2007.
