Neil Gaiman's seminal comic book series "The Sandman" portrays a peculiar attitude towards
women. Often empowering, but occasionally troubling, Gaiman's epic narrative negotiates complex
and difficult social and narrative female identities. This panel seeks to explore some of the areas in
which Gaiman addresses (or denies) feminism and feminist theory throughout the series. Please
send abstracts of 250-500 words and your resumé with contact information to:
