CFP: [Victorian] The Changing Images of the Businessman through Literature (Collection)

full name / name of organization:
Christa Mahalik

Proposals are sought for a collection of essays about the changing image
of the businessman (or woman) through literature.

Due to interest in the topic of businessman through literature the
opportunity has arisen to partake in submitting an essay to a collection
based solely on this concept.

Topics are not limited to a specific area or concentration. We are
hoping to get a range of essays from different time periods and different
genres of interest. From Shylock, to Bartleby, and the novels of Dickens
to Martin Amis' fierce display of the businessman's persona of 1980s
America and Britain, all ranges of topics about the changing image of
the "businessman" are welcome.

Please send 300 word abstracts to Christa.Mahalik_at_Quinnipiac.edu by May
2nd 2009.

If you have questions please feel free to contact me at anytime.
