The Journal of Browning Studies

The Journal of Browning Studies, the successor to Browning Society Notes, invites contributions on all subjects connected with the life and work of Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning and their circle. The new journal, which will appear annually, is intended to become the natural home for critical and scholarly work on the poets. As well as articles and reviews, it will also include a ‘Brownings Notes and Queries’ section correcting or supplementing existing scholarly and biographical information on the poets.

Items to be considered for inclusion in the inaugural edition of the journal should be sent to the editor, Joseph Phelan, at one of the addresses below, by 31 May 2009. Articles should be no longer than 8000 words in length, and should be presented according to the MLA stylesheet. Electronic submission is preferred; if you would like material sent by post to be returned, please include return postage.
