How have contemporary writers responded to economic and financial crises? What forms or genres of narrative--fictional, autobiographical, historical, or other--are being called into service to represent the highs and lows, virtualities and realities, of late capitalism? Papers on earlier writers that propose to relate them to recent contexts will also be considered. Please submit 300-500 word abstracts + c.v. info to Alison Shonkwiler at a.shonkwiler@gmail.com by Sep. 30.
