The Nursery Door Opened: Re-imagining Childhood
(SEASECS 2010)

This panel invites papers that explore children’s texts as a vehicle for the re-conceptualization of the child and childhood during the long Eighteenth Century. In addition to papers that consider specific children’s books, we would also encourage those that examine illustrations, toys, and/or games for children. Please submit 250-300 word abstracts by October 8, 2009, to Phyllis Thompson at thompsop@etsu.edu .
