Queen's Postcolonial Research Forum: Postgraduate Essay Prize
"Postcolonial Studies continues to be primarily concerned with the former British Empire"
Queen's Postcolonial Research Forum is pleased to announce its second Essay Competition for postgraduate students (Masters or PhD).
Writers may consider the question through the use of specific case studies from their own research, although they must address the question in a way that will be meaningful to those outside their discipline.
The prize for the best essay is £500.00. The winner will be announced in February 2010.
The deadline is 18th December 2009. Essays should be no more than 5,000 words in length and should conform to a recognised style of documentation within the writer's discipline. Essays will be judged anonymously by the Board of Queen's Postcolonial Research Forum, so authors should ensure that their name does not appear on their essay; rather, a covering letter or email should give the author's name, essay title and contact details.
Essays must either be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, or mailed to: Dr Maeve McCusker, French Studies, Queen's University Belfast, Belfast, BT7 1NN, Northern Ireland.
