International Annual Conference on Virginia Woolf 6/03-06/2010full name / name of organization: International Annual Conference on Virginia Woolf contact email: woolf@georgetowncollege.edu Virginia Woolf and the Natural World This conference highlights the many aspects of nature that inspired Virginia Woolf’s life and writing. Please consider proposing a paper, panel, workshop, or reading. Topics include (but are not limited to): Flowers, Gardens and Gardeners, Parks and Zoos, Seascapes, Landscapes, Animals, Cornwall, St. Ives, Vacations, Country Homes and Estates, Farmers and Farming, Hiking, Sailing, Hunting, Nature as Restorative, Nature as Punitive, City “versus” Nature, Woolf and Ecology, Woolf and the Environment, Teaching Woolf and Nature Proposals are due by January 15, 2010. Independent scholars, high school teachers, and “common readers” are encouraged to submit. For paper proposals, please send a 250-word abstract as a Word attachment. For panel proposals, please submit a 250-word description of each paper to be presented by each of the three panel participants along with the proposed panel title. As this is a blind submission process, please do not include your name on your abstract. In your email, please include your name(s), institutional affiliation (if any), paper title(s), and contact information.
