CFP: Inaugural Issue of MYNAH: A Literature and Arts Quarterly
MYNAH: A Literature and Arts Quarterly seeks to publish emerging and established creative writers whose work helps promote tolerance, liberty, openness, transparency and democracy, through literature and arts, in and around Pakistan. By launching MYNAH, the editorial team seeks to establish an institution where all are welcome and encouraged solely because of the merit of their creativity. By establishing a transparent and anonymous review process, MYNAH hopes to create a culture where all contributors are comfortable about the editorial decisions. With the editors of MYNAH, there are no hierarchies other than talent and courage. MYNAH wants the South Asian diaspora to consider the journal a home of their creative endeavors regardless of their race, creed, or nationality.
MYNAH invites submissions on Pakistan- and South Asia-related themes in the form of short stories, poems, essays, book reviews. Essays and short stories should not be longer than 6000 words.
All submissions should be sent as attached word documents to firstname.lastname@example.org. The response time is four to eight weeks. All accepted contributors will receive a complimentary copy of the journal and an honorarium of up to Pakistani Rs.5000.
