Southwest/Texas Popular & American Culture Association's Proposals for this Panel should engage poetry as a theoretical and historical tool for Indigenous memory, social change, critical dialogue and most specifically the critical engagement of Indigenous Activism on a global, hemispheric, and local level. The panel may present poets as scholars, performance poetry, or scholars as poets and we should expect to perform our poetry as well as critically engage poetry as activism, theory and historical memory.
