STUDENTS & FACULTY whose abstracts are accepted will receive with their paid registration a ticket to the conference luncheon and access to all conference events. PRESENTATIONS may be paper readings, panel discussions, or visual presentations, such as PowerPoint or posters. Appropriate types of presentations include, but are not limited to, critical essays, scientific or sociological research, and philosophical arguments. Creative works will be allowed, but they must also serve an academic function. Special consideration will be given to presentations relating to the convention theme, Progressions. Authors must currently be undergraduate or graduate students who are enrolled in at least three credit hours at an accredited college or university or must have graduated with a degree no earlier than December 2009, or must be current faculty at an accredited college or university. SUBMISSIONS should consist of a titled abstract in MS Word format of no more than 150 words. Please include at the top of the abstract the title of your presentation but no personal identifying information (such as name or institution). Submissions should be sent as an attachment to ucoaws@gmail.com by the deadline of Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Late submissions are not guaranteed consideration for presentation.
