Annual College English Association National Conference

San
Antonio

March
25-27, 2010

The Peace Panel is a group within the CEA dedicated to
advocating non-violence and anti-militarism.  We invite papers on Peace Studies for special panels at the
National Conference.  Though we
will consider all papers for inclusion on the panels, we will give special
attention to papers that jibe with the Conference’s overall theme of “Voices.”  The deadline for proposals in 1
November 2009.

The Peace Panel also offers the James R. Bennett Award for
Literature and Peace, a 250-dollar award for outstanding paper on Peace
Studies.  Though all proposals will
be considered applicants for the award, you must submit a completed paper
before 1 March 2010 to be eligible for it.  There will be a three-judge panel to review the submissions:
the panel organizer, the current CEA president, and the CEA Critic editor (or one representative selected by each). The
prize winning entry will be considered for publication in the CEA
Critic
.

Papers must conform to CEA submission criteria and deadlines,
available at http://call-for-papers.sas.upenn.edu/node/34390.
