Papers (twenty minutes maximum) are invited on eighteenth-century uses, adaptations, and evocations of history, for a panel to be held at the annual meeting of the South Central Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies in Salt Lake City, Utah (February 25-27, 2010). This topic may be interpreted widely, to encompass imaginative as well as polemical and scholarly uses of the past in eighteenth-century literature and culture.
