African Literatures - Journals and collections of essays
This CFP invites critical investigation on African literatures. It comprises not only African literatures proper but the presence of the black in literature as well. Essays on contemporary writing from the African diaspora are especially welcome; comparative approaches between two literatures, and between literature and other arts are also invited.
Revista Língua&Literatura is a refereed journal of scholarly research in the field of literature and language. It is published twice a year, in August and December, by the Linguistics, Letters and Arts department at URI, RS, Brazil, and features original submissions ––essays and interviews concerning the set theme,as well as book reviews (works published in the last 12 months).
Papers submitted to Lingua & Literatura must be original, not simultaneously submitted to or previously published in any other scientific or technical journal.
Language: Portuguese, Spanish or English.
Text editor: Word for Windows 6.0 or later versions.
Margins: Submissions in English and Spanish follow the MLA- one-inch margins on all four sides of a page
Font: Times New Roman, size 12
Paragraph: 1.5 space, justified.
Lenght: 10-20 pages, including refeences.
Pictures: besides the pictures used in the text, send them attached in TIFF or JPEG format. Authors are responsible for assuring compliance with copyright and obtaining necessary permissions
Notes: Try to avoid footnotes. Use preferentially endnotes.
Format: Manuscripts should be compiled in the following order: title and author identifiction, abstract, keywords, main text, translated abstract and keywords (resumen or resumo); references

Publication: August 2010
The authors of published submissions will receive two complimentary copies of the journal issue.
