The Indian Popular Culture panel is now accepting proposals for the upcoming Midwest Popular Culture and Midwest American Culture Association Conference in October. The MPCA/MACA conference will be held in Minneapolis, MN from 1-3 October, 2010.

I am currently seeking original work in any area of Indian Popular Culture. Abstracts can include a wide variety of issues related to any form of Indian Popular Culture: cinema both Bollywood and other, television, music, comics, cyberculture, youth culture, tourism, food, fashion, etc…

Please email a paper abstract by Friday, April 30, 2010 to . Along with a paper description, include university affiliation, professional address, and email address.

I also welcome panel proposals, with three or more participants, consisting of a panel description along with a full list of presenters and paper titles. Please include university affiliation, professional address, and email address for each presenter and the chair.
