After receiving many excellent proposals for the Gender Studies area of MPCA/MACA, I have decided to try to get a few more by extending the deadline by a few weeks.

The MPCA/MACA conference will be held in Minneapolis, MN from 1-3 October, 2010.

Proposals will be accepted from any area relating to gender studies in popular culture. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
• Gender construction, performativity, and/or representation
• Women’s Studies
• Masculinity Studies
• Gender
• Intersectionality
