Call for Submissions

Submissions are being sought for inclusion in a collection of essays tentatively titled _Cherchez la femme: Women and Values in the Francophone World_ currently under contract with Cambridge Scholars Publishing. These essays inquire into the nature of aesthetic, linguistic and cultural values created, informed or reformed by real, fictional or fictionalized women in the French-speaking world from the Middle Ages until today. The studies in this volume explore the role of women in view of cultural and social changes and the distinctive potential for the emergence of female perspectives in different fields and contexts including but not limited to: poetry, prose, cultural studies, literary and art theory.

If interested in participating in this volume, please send an e-mail with a title and 100-word abstract. We will let you know immediately if your proposal fits with the project.

Final essays of 5,000 words will be due by August 1, 2010.

3. All notes should be typed in Times New Roman, 9 pt. font and placed at the end of the document.
4. All documentation should be formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition.
