In Spectator 101, published June 26, 1711, Joseph Addison describes an “imaginary Historian” who will comment on both the reign of Anne and the run of The Spectator with an objectivity that will be possible only after a lapse of “three hundred Years.” We have now reached Addison’s tricentennial milestone, and in honor of the occasion, this panel solicits papers on any aspect of The Spectator.

This panel will consist of 3-4 15 to 20 minute papers. Please submit a c. 500 word abstract by September 15, 2010.
