LIMINA: A Journal of Historical and Cultural Studies. Volume 17 CFP Submissions Deadline September 30 2010full name / name of organization: The University of Western Australia contact email: limina@cyllene.uwa.edu.au Limina is an online, refereed, academic journal of historical and cultural studies based in the Discipline of History at The University of Western Australia. We are especially committed to publishing the work of postgraduate students and early career researchers, realising the importance of developing an early publication record, as well as the difficulties in doing so. Recognising the fact that many articles get bogged down in the review process, at Limina we guarantee initial feedback on articles and the review process within 4 – 6 weeks, (ensuring your work is not buried somewhere for months on end). As a journal catering to postgrads and early career researchers, we are aware of the importance of advertising your work to the broader academic community. Accordingly, we are interested in publishing literature reviews that detail where and how your work will extend research in your chosen area, as well as publishing more traditional articles that engage with, discuss and enlarge theoretical debates. Limina publishes scholarly articles of approximately 5000 words from any field within the humanities, favouring work of an interdisciplinary nature. They must demonstrate original research and must be substantially different from other published work. Submission should be in MS Word or RTF format and you will need to ensure that your submission conforms to the Limina style guide prior to publication. For more information please visit our website at: http://www.limina.arts.uwa.edu.au The final submission date for articles to be considered for Volume 17 is 30 September 2010 with intent to publish in June 2011. cfp categories: african-american american bibliography_and_history_of_the_book childrens_literature classical_studies cultural_studies_and_historical_approaches ecocriticism_and_environmental_studies eighteenth_century ethnicity_and_national_identity film_and_television gender_studies_and_sexuality interdisciplinary medieval modernist studies poetry popular_culture postcolonial professional_topics religion renaissance rhetoric_and_composition romantic science_and_culture theatre theory travel_writing twentieth_century_and_beyond victorian
