The Langston Hughes Society welcomes papers that examine the relationship between music and literary works (poetry, drama, fiction, and/or nonfiction) by Langston Hughes. Papers which explore jazz, blues, gospel, hip hop, and other forms of musical expression relevant to literary works by Langston Hughes are encouraged. All individuals with accepted proposals must join the Langston Hughes Society and the College Language Association. Please email a one page typed abstract and a biographical profile to Dr. Sharon Lynette Jones at email@example.com by August 30, 2010.
