"Using Photography to Teach Writing," SPE Nov. 5-7 Providence, RI: Proposals due 8/19
This practicum, proposed for the SPE Northeast Conference Nov. 5-7 in Providence, RI, will look at the ways that writing instructors use photography to illustrate core conceptual issues, from plagiarism to the difference between summary and analysis to point of view. Preference will be given to instructors who make use of photographs in classrooms with a mix of English language learners and native speakers. If interested, please send a brief description of your teaching methods to email@example.com. You can also view a description of the conference at http://www.spenortheast.org/home.html.
