The Langston Hughes Society welcomes papers that examine the relationship between music and literary works (poetry, drama, fiction, and/or nonfiction) by Langston Hughes. Papers which explore jazz, blues, gospel, hip hop, and other forms of musical expression relevant to literary works by Langston Hughes are encouraged. All individuals with accepted proposals must join the Langston Hughes Society and the College Language Association. Please email an abstract (300-400 words) and a biographical profile (3-5 lines) to Dr. Sharon Lynette Jones at sharon.jones@wright.edu by September 10, 2010.
