Panel Title: Pedro Almodóvar and the Cinema of Desire

Papers are now being accepted on all topics related to the work of director Pedro Almodóvar.

While all approaches to Almodóvar will be considered, some possible areas of interest are:

Almodóvar and
Sexuality
Representation of Lovers
Mothers in Almodóvar’s films
Transgender Characters
Filmic and Literary Touchstones in his Works
Intertextuality (Women on the Verge and Girls and Suitcases in Broken
Embraces)
Representation of the filmmaking process
