This panel will examine representations of Asian American and Asian diasporic communities in new media such as blogs, internet forums, social network sites, video games, etc. How do these representations deal with the heterogeneity of the Asian diaspora? How do online spaces develop, interrupt, or redefine transnational spaces? What do these representations tell us about the future of Asian American and Asian diasporic studies?
