Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, June 22-26, 2011. Please send a 300-word abstract for an 8 minute presentation in a "paper jam" style panel session (six or seven papers in total) and a one-page cv to Helena Feder (federh@ecu.edu) and Sarah McFarland (mcfarlands@nsula.edu) by November 1. Papers on the following topics are particularly welcome: Idea/problems of posthumanism(s) in an age of technocorporate culture Posthumanism at work with particular animal kin or kind Human animality and violence Posthumanism(s) that intersect with the conference theme: questions of humans' relation to nonhuman species, both plant and animal, OR intersections between work on nonhuman species in disciplines such as biology, anthropology, philosophy, neuroscience, literature, and art. cfp categories: ecocriticism_and_environmental_studies interdisciplinary science_and_culture theory
