[UPDATE] CSUF Creative Writing Workshop Weekend; November 12-14, 2010
Creative Writing Workshop Weekend
Attendees will spend an entire weekend immersed in your craft, be it fiction or poetry writing. Authors and creative writing instructors from across the country will be on hand to conduct small workshops with participants, as well as answer questions about best practices, publishing, and participating in the world of creative writing both inside and outside of the academe.
The weekend will include plenty of opportunities for you to share your own creative works in both large and small venues, doing panel-type presentations as well as open mic readings. If you have friends and/or family in the Southern California area, you might want to invite them to come and listen to you! There's no charge for those coming to enjoy the readings and panels (though there is a charge for parking on campus).
Guest authors include: Matty Byloos (Write Bloody Publishing), Shaindel Beers (Blue Mountain College, Oregon), Charles Jensen (Arizona State University), Anna Leahy (Chapman University), Joshua Kryah (University of Nevada, Las Vegas), and Michael Dumanis (Cleveland State University, Ohio).
Local authorse include: Irena Praitis, Jeff Albers, and Jennifer Givhan
We will be registering participants throughout September and October, or until all spots are filled. Creative Writing Workshop Weekend will take place primarily on campus at California State University, Fullerton – with the possibility of a couple of open mics taking place at local venues.

Those who only plan on participating in open mic readings, need not send examples.
All participants should make copies of their creative works as we cannot guarantee the availability of a printer or internet access (both are LIKELY to be available, but better to be safe).
Participants are encouraged to spend the entire weekend with us. Light refreshments will be available at the beginning of each day.
