Iranian Voices Across the Globe
This collection of scholarly essays for an edited volume aims to explore the writings of the Iranian diaspora, particularly outside of the North American context. While in recent years, due the rising number of books in English, there have been a few studies focusing on Iranian writing emerging from America in English, far less scholarship has been dedicated to the study of Iranian writing across the globe and in other languages. This collection, therefore, focuses on Iranian fiction or autobiographical writings across the globe and various languages. While papers on any aspects of these writings from across the world are welcome, subjects could include but not limited to: Iranian identity in diaspora, language and linguistic barriers, or migration and settlement.
While essays from a North American context will also be accepted, works focusing on writing from other countries and other languages would be preferred.
Please forward an abstract of no more 450 words with your affiliation and brief bio to Sanaz Fotouhi (email@example.com) by no later than December 15, 2010. Final papers would be requested by March 30, 2011.
