We seek proposals from a broad range of disciplinary and theoretical perspectives, and welcome the participation of academic, independent, and fan scholars. We welcome professionals from all areas of the comics industry, including creators, editors, publishers, retailers, distributors, and journalists.

We also invite scholars and professionals to participate as respondents to presentations.

The Conference brings together comics scholars, professionals, critics, and historians who wish to promote or engage in serious study of the medium in a forum that includes the public.

Papers, panels, round tables, book talks, poster presentations, and workshops may take a critical or historical perspective on comics (juxtaposed images in sequence).

Proposals due: December 1, 2010, for CAC-WC; March 1, 2011, for CAC-CCI.
