Quinn/Slippery Rock University contact email: katrina.quinn@sru.edu Submission deadline: November 1, 2010 at http://cea-web.org/ The College English Association, a gathering of scholar-teachers in English studies, welcomes proposals for presentations for our 42nd annual conference. The Travel and Literature area at CEA is seeking submissions on any aspect of travel and literature, including but not limited to travelogues; travel and ecocriticism; regionalism; travel and identity; intercultural perspectives; etc. Theoretical and interdisciplinary approaches are welcome, as are papers concerning various genres and historical periods of literature. Of particular interest will be papers that address the conference theme, FORTUNES, as it applies to travelers across America, around the world, and through time and space. How does literature portray travelers and their fortunes? Proposals should be between 350 and 500 words in length and should include a title and contact information, including name, institutional affiliation, if any, and email address. Please mention any audio-visual equipment needs or any other special needs.
